We regularly inspect the plumbing systems at this apartment building. As a result of an inspection, we found that the non-inverter water supply pump unit supplying water to each unit had been in use for about 20 years since installation. If it continued to be used in its aged condition, pumps, circuit boards, and sensors could fail and cause a water outage. It was also possible that the pump manufacturer might discontinue production of parts, making it difficult to secure replacement parts.

We therefore proposed to the property management company that the pump unit be replaced with a new inverter-type water supply pump unit, and the proposal was adopted. By replacing the water supply pump unit with an inverter-type model, it is possible to reduce pump power consumption and achieve approximately 50% energy savings (depending on usage conditions).

In connection with the replacement of the water supply pump unit, we also replaced part of the water supply pipe with new piping and installed insulation material on the piping. The property management company was satisfied that we could replace the unit with a water supply pump unit that reduces power consumption before a water outage accident occurred.
